To celebrate the start of the Formula 1 racing season, Firemint has announced that an upcoming update for its Real Racing 2 HD game will enable full HD, 1080p output via the Apple Digital AV Adapter. According to the company, the feature will be a first for iOS, and will offer 30 frames per second performance, real-time telemetry, and a “console-like” experience. Real Racing 2 HD is available now from the App Store for $10; the 1080p HD output will require an iPad 2.
