German carrier Deutsche Telekom has informed its call center representatives to let customers know the iPhone 6 will launch September 19, according to apfelpage.de. iPhone launches traditionally occur on Fridays — September 19 does fall on a Friday this year, and September 20 was when Apple introduced the iPhone last year. Deutsche Telekom is apparently giving people a concrete date in order to keep people from leaving the carrier. The carrier may simply be estimating the date based on past launches, as it seems unlikely that Apple would have already given Deutsche Telekom a firm release date. [via Apple Insider]
