Light Room has released an update to GoDocs for Google Docs, its universal iOS app for working with Google Docs while on the go. GoDocs allows iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users to access, view and edit documents stored in their Google Docs account with support for most common document formats as well as play back of music and videos from the Google Docs cloud. Documents can be downloaded and synchronized for offline viewing and the app also provides the ability to search for documents and share documents via Google Docs or e-mail. GoDocs 2.9 adds the ability to edit documents while an online connection is available along with iOS address book integration for sharing roles and improvements to document sorting. The update also adds background task completion support allowing synchronization to continue after exiting the app. Additional enhancements include faster synchronization and a number of significant UI improvements and bug fixes. GoDocs for Google Docs 2.9 is a universal app requiring iOS 4.2 or later and is available from the App Store for $5.
