Google shows offline Gmail for iPhone at MWC

During a keynote at the 2009 Mobile World Congress this week, Google vice president of engineering Vic Gundotra demonstrated offline Gmail for the iPhone and Android phones. The app seems to be quite responsive, thanks to the database being kept locally. A video of the demonstration is available in high quality on YouTube; continue reading to view a smaller embedded version. [via Engadget]
