German company Ulshofer has emailed an update about the development of their Infrared remote control (receiver) module for iPod. As reported earlier, Ulshofer has developed a prototype infrared remote that plugs into the earphone port on iPod, and can be used with any remote control device; TV remote, CD changer remote, etc.
“Because of the tremendous feedback on our prototype announcement, we are going to speed-up production time. Pricing for the receiver module will be between EUR 59 ($70) and EUR 69 ($80) (depending on type/model).
.Availability will be given probably in early August 2003.”
