iPort, known for its Apple iPod focused in-wall music system, unveiled today a hardware and software upgrade for their IW (in-wall) and FS (free-standing) music systems.
These Authentication IC upgrades offer expanded iPod 5G support including video output and browsing of the iPod video menu including playlist and view list data, via RS-232 control systems.
Upgrades to existing systems can be performed to replace the RS-232 circuit card found in level 4 and 5 iPort models that incorporate RS-232 serial control for integration with remote keypads or touchscreens.
