Kenu announces new wireless charging car mounts

Kenu, the company known for introducing the world’s first portable vent mount, has jumped on board with Qi wireless charging solutions with two new fast-wireless charging car mounts, the Airframe Wireless and Airbase Wireless. Both mounts are Qi-certified and can deliver up to 10 watts of power, offering the fastest possible wireless charging speeds for Apple’s latest iPhones and other Qi-compatible smartphones. Ideally designed for daily commuters, ride sharing drivers, and road trippers, the mounts allow drivers to simply pop in their iPhones to recharge on the go without having to fuss with charging cables, while still holding the iPhone safely in view.

Kenu announces new wireless charging car mounts

Airframe Wireless ($60) is a vent-mount that uses a secure push-button clip to attach to a car’s air vent, while Airbase Wireless ($60) is designed to mount to a dashboard or windshield using a suction cup with a non-reside gel adhesive. Both mounts use spring-loaded phone grips that expand to hold smartphones in cases up to 4.3 inches wide, along with a 360-degree ball joint to allow the mounted phone to be rotated between portrait and landscape mode and angled for a perfect view, allowing for more reliable Face ID authentication.

The mounts also feature overheating protection which will cut power when it gets too hot inside the car, as well as fan-less ventilation to keep components as cool as possible, and foreign object detection to alert users if objects are blocking the charging pad.

The package also includes a 3.9-foot USB-C to USB-A cable, a 12-volt DC car charter with a QC 3.0 USB port and an extra 2.4-amp USB port for charging other in-car devices. Airframe Wireless and Airbase Wireless are both available now at www.kenu.com.
