Opera Software has released an update to Opera Mini its alternative web browser for iOS devices. Opera Mini 6.5 adds support for predictive typing, including domain suggests and auto-correct and also now allows users to instantly bookmark URLs by starring them in the URL field.
The new version also adds a data usage meter to show users how much data they are saving by using Opera’s bandwidth-optimized proxy servers rather than connecting to sites directly. Additional enhancements include the ability to conduct searches directly from the address bar, share pages via e-mail and improvements to text selection and web page compression.
Opera Mini 6.5 is a universal app and is available from the App Store as a free download.
