Pioneer Electronics is looking into implementing CarPlay compatibility into its “existing and future products,” according to a report. The news was reportedly verified by a Pioneer customer service representative.
Pioneer makes many in-car electronic systems, opening up the possibility that vehicle makers who haven’t been announced as Apple partners could still feature CarPlay compatibility at some point, especially if CarPlay could be accessible through connecting with other aftermarket Pioneer accessories. It’s also been previously reported that Mercedes-Benz is working on CarPlay for its older vehicles.
