Zachary West has released an update to Prowl, his Growl client for iOS devices, providing a significantly redesigned user interface and a number of new features. Prowl allows Mac users to receive notifications from the popular Mac Growl notification app on their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Version 1.2.1 adds a brand new icon and an updated UI with Retina Display support, landscape views throughout the application, customizable font sizes and the ability to copy notifications or forward them via e-mail or SMS directly from within the app. The update also adds the ability to send custom URLs with redirections to allow other applications to be opened, launch redirects directly from the notification list and filter redirects based on event. The latest version also now includes multitasking and background support on compatible iOS 4 devices. Prowl 1.2.1 is available from the App Store for $3.
