Following yesterday’s announcement that U.S. iPhone carrier AT&T had reached an agreement with Deutsche Telekom to acquire T-Mobile USA, speculation arose as to whether or not the new agreement would mean that T-Mobile would be launching the iPhone.
In a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) posting, the nation’s third-largest carrier addressed the issue. Under the heading of “Is T-Mobile USA getting the iPhone?,” the company states, “T-Mobile USA remains an independent company.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in approximately 12 months. We do not offer the iPhone.
