Engadget, citing images of what is supposedly a Target PDA, reports that the store’s product management system now has a listing for an unknown product that comes in six versions, matches the iPad’s six price points, and is to be located in the Digital Audio section, which is also home to the iPod and various e-readers, including the Amazon Kindle.
The images from Target’s system indicate the product will become available in October 3, the timing of which would give Apple a significant boost in terms of iPad distribution heading into the holiday shopping season.
