A member of the XBMC forums tore apart his third-generation Apple TV over the weekend, revealing specifications of the device in the process.

The teardown found that the third-generation Apple TV sports the same 8GB of flash storage—produced by Toshiba, in this case—as the second-generation model, but has seen its RAM boosted from 256 MB to 512MB, and, as announced by Apple, is powered by a single-core variant of the A5 processor.
Also suggested by the teardown is a new dual antenna system for the set-top box; the poster did not seem to know what the second antenna was for, but did say that it was not found in the second-generation unit.
