While we weren’t really blown away by either of these new cases from a company called 1ideacase, it’s a slow day, so we’ll show you what it has come up with for the iPad 2. i-Model Handbag ($19) is a simple sleeve with handles, made out of two white faux-leather halves, and covered in soft black circles. Our review unit arrived with a blue ink mark on one side, and the black circles were somewhat raggedly cut, making this look like… well, a not particularly well-crafted $19 fake leather sleeve. By comparison, iSmart Case ($29) is a bit nicer, a soft-backed folio-style case available in light grey, dark grey, and red. The cover is split in three columns, and folds up into a stand. All of the openings are well-sized and look clean; there are also magnets built in, both for holding the lid shut and activating the automatic locking feature. While the material’s not fantastic, it’s not bad, either, and appropriate enough given the low asking price.
