Akron has released a pair of universal tablet stands, both of which are advertised with and clearly support all iPads. 10″ Universal Mini Tablet Stand with Quick Release Holder ($40) is made for desktop use.
Coming in three separate pieces, the aluminum shaft fits into the preassembled foot, with the plastic holder snapping onto the other end. It’s tightened with an included Allen wrench, and a button on the side of the mount releases the arm at the top.
4′ Extending Tablet Floor Stand with Quick Release Holder ($90) has a similar although obviously taller construction. This one requires a bit more construction.
