And the “most improved” award for 2011 goes to… BigR Audio, which has come up with two sets of impressive new headphones that really turn the page on its prior releases. The Bruce Lee Headphones ($129, aka SML-BL1) headphones are a retro silver metal design with black faux leather padding, Chinese inscriptions on the headband, and Bruce Lee-themed decorations on the sides. BigR Audio uses 50mm drivers inside of these. By comparison, the Madison Avenue headphones are white or black plastic with stitched leatherette ear cups, a matching headband pad, and chrome accents; they have 40mm drivers inside. Both of the models include headphone plugs and remote control/microphone units; the Madison Avenues feature three-button remotes while the Bruce Lee remote’s only a one-button version. They continue to come with bamboo carrying boxes, and have soft cloth drawstring carrying bags for easier carrying around.
