First Look: Bluetrek LostDog Slim Hardcases for iPhone 4

Updated

Though Bluetrek’s new series of LostDog iPhone 4 Slim Hardcases ($27) are on the surface relatively simple plastic shells, they’re distinguished by their rear graphics: each carries one of the upbeat, sentimental messages of French artist Aurele, referencing what he calls “the state of emergency in which our world finds itself and the absolute need to react.” Unusually, the LostDog cases not only provide access to all ports and controls, but have a hole in the side for the micro SIM slot — positive for users who need frequent access — and the sides are nicely frosted clear, with an included screen protector. It’s packaged in an unusual fabric and plastic envelope that itself feels more designed than most iPhone cases, albeit without an obvious opening mechanism other than using scissors.
