Tough Xtreme ($40) is Case-Mate’s iPhone 5 version of its Phantom case, originally available for iPhone 4/4S. In many ways, it’s simply a slimmed-down version of the extra-protective plastic and rubber case.
The iPhone fits into the front bezel protector, which now includes permanent screen film, before snapping into the main case. Flaps protect each of the ports and the side switch, while there’s full button protection.
