Review: CM4 Q Card Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Review: CM4 Q Card Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

CM4’s Q Card Case ($40), a wallet case, has returned again for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. As in the past, Q Card Case is a soft rubber case with a built-in faux leather wallet on the back, made to hold up to three cards and cash. The iPhone 6 Plus version of the case adds a slot that works as a kickstand when a card is inserted. Volume controls and the sleep/wake button are both covered by the case.

Q Card Case comes with screen film and cleaning cloth. A limited edition brown genuine leather edition costs $60.

We’ve seen Q Card Case a few times, most recently for iPhone 5. The design hasn’t strayed much since then, though CM4 has now made separate port cutouts at the bottom of the phone, as opposed to leaving it open. Though the iPhone 6 Plus case is obviously larger, the size of the pocket is the same on both cases.

Q Card Case fits two cards comfortably — three cards makes for a tighter fit, but CM4 claims the pocket will adjust after a few days of use. Adding cash on top of three cards is possible, but you’ll probably feel more comfortable storing your bills elsewhere. The iPhone 6 Plus card kickstand feature is a bonus, but it’s mostly inconsequential.

We like CM4’s Q Card Case for the same reason we appreciated its past incarnations: it’s a reasonably-priced, good looking wallet case that adds very little bulk to an iPhone. When factoring in the larger size of the newer iPhones, the lack of bulk becomes even more important.
