First Look: DLO TuneStik Wireless FM Transmitter + RF Remote for iPod

Updated

Based on iJet technology from RF remote control maker ABT, DLO’s new TuneStik combines a wireless RF remote control with a bottom-mounting FM transmitter that connects to Dock Connector-equipped iPods. Designed to be used in your car or on the go, TuneStik has a pass-through port for use with a charger, and a steering wheel mount that uses a Velcro-like material to keep the seven-button remote handy for changing tracks, play/pause status, volume, turning the iPod’s backlight on or off, and turning the transmitter on or off. You can set the transmitter’s frequency from 88.1 to 107.9FM using the volume buttons after you’ve pressed the transmitter button, sending iPod audio to your car or home stereo. Unlike some of ABT’s iJet remotes, TuneStik’s is rated to a broadcasting distance of 40 feet, rather than 100 or more.
