Griffin’s Wallet Case ($40) for iPhone 6 is a folio-style case that has two slots for cards or cash on its inner flap. We received both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus versions of the case, which offer the same features at the same price.
As with many folio cases, Wallet Case can also fold into a stand, and there’s also a camera cutout on the back of the case. The plastic shell inside offers even less protection than one would normally expect from such a case, which isn’t much — the iPhone is held in place by two short ridges on the sides, and two peculiar tabs at the bottom of the shell.
While we now feel that wallet folio cases deserve some recognition for being more useful than standard folio cases, Griffin really tiptoes along that line with Wallet Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The two tight card slots certainly won’t fit any more than one card each, and the shell inside is so minimal that we’re concerned about protection — even more concerned than we normally would be with a folio-style case. We’re not wild about the checkbook-style feel and look of the case, either.
