Promising a talk time of 13 hours and listening time of 14 hours, iLuv’s i202 Bluetooth stereo ear clips are essentially device-agnostic – they connect to any iPod’s headphone port with a lightweight dongle that contains its own battery – and include USB and wall adapters necessary to keep their batteries fueled. The idea’s that iPod music is spooled wirelessly from the dongle to the ear clip speakers, allowing you to walk around with only the single, length-adjustable wire that connects the left and right earpieces together. As with other portable Bluetooth options, these include the ability to let you receive phone calls, as a microphone’s built into the headset, and Bluetooth pairing technology lets the headset interrupt (but not stop) your iPod’s music when a call comes in. i202 is based on the older Bluetooth 1.2 standard, which is found in many phones, but not up to the audio performance levels of more recent Bluetooth 2.0+EDR solutions.
