In time for the launch of the new iPad, iLuv has released two rather generic folio-style cases for the iPad 2 and the third-generation iPad: iCC831 Ulster ($50) and iCC834 Great Jeans ($60). The former is faux leather, with a bezel-covering frame and a Velcro flap to keep it closed when the tablet is not in use. That flap can also serve to hold the case in two different movie viewing modes, either flat or vertical. Great Jeans, on the other hand, has a printed denim pattern and magnets to hold it shut, although they don’t wake the iPad from sleep. Instead of a flap, this one turns into a stand by lifting the frame up and resting it against one of three different bumps on the inside of the front cover. The frame can be rotated, supporting either portrait or landscape orientation.
