If you’re looking for a speaker dock that fits not only iPhones and iPods, but iPads as well, iLuv’s iMM747 Hi-Fidelity Speaker Dock ($130) is an option. Available in either black or white, this system is sometimes also known as Audio Cube, a name that makes sense when you see the speakers on either side of the dock. There are physical track and volume control buttons along the top, with USB, auxiliary, and power ports on the back.
Updated: Due to the age of this dock at the time it was sent to us for coverage, we have opted not to rate or fully review it. The iMM747 is a decent speaker system with an MSRP that’s $30-$50 above its actual value, with relatively weak low-end performance and a physical design that doesn’t do a great job of accommodating encased iPads. While the industrial design is fine—not great—the same or very similar speakers could easily have fit into something more compact and substantial-feeling.
