Debuted at the 2010 CES, Incipio’s new Dotties ($35) proved to be one of the big hits of the show — a case that can be color-customized by the user using a set of 45 included rubber dots of various colors. You start by picking a base case color of interest, then fill the 15 “dot” holes with whatever colored dots interest you; Incipio’s selection includes clear, glow-in-the-dark, and numerous colors that are in the process of being finalized. Each case includes a camera-ready piece that can be used if you don’t want to obscure and cover the iPhone’s camera; the iPod touch version instead has a dot. Once your device is in the case, the dots are locked into place and have little chance of accidentally coming out. The lineup to get these cases was huge at CES; customization of this sort is a cool idea and well-executed in Dotties.
