First shown in iLounge’s 2008 iPod + iPhone Buyers’ Guide, Incipio’s IncipioSlice Dock Adapter for the 2nd Generation iPod shuffle ($20) is a white or black plastic adapter that transforms the Dock Connector-less shuffle into a Dock Connector accessory-compatible device. Once IncipioSlice is attached to the shuffle, you can plug standard iPod-to-USB cables into its bottom for synchronization and charging, or connect to docking accessories for either audio or power — a switch lets you toggle between these features, which can’t be used at the same time due to shuffle design limitations. IncipioSlice’s appeal relative to Griffin’s previously-released Dock Adapter for iPod shuffle is in its shape, which isn’t iPod Universal Dock-specific, and in its choice of two colors.
