Sold in four different color combinations, Incipio’s new Silicrylic ($50) case for the iPad is a larger version of its earlier, same-named iPhone and iPod touch design. Silicrylic combines a soft silicone shell with a hard plastic frame to provide extra anti-drop protection, and comes with a screen protector, applicator card, and cleaning cloth. Interestingly, the base silicone case here really doesn’t need the hard shell for support — it really feels optional, and the case looks quite nice without it. But pairing them together leads to either a more interesting two-tone look, or in the case of the black version, just twin textures.
