First Look: Kaplan SAT Prep Mathematics 2008

Updated

Also known as SAT Prep Math 2008, Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions’ SAT Prep Mathematics 2008 ($5) is one of three new pieces of software added to the iTunes Store’s iPod Games section. It offers high school students both strategies and sample test scenarios for the math portion of the common United States college entrance exam. In both text and audio form, the strategies section offers general information on the SAT Test’s structure, top ten SAT tips, and college admission tips, as well as specific details on SAT math basics, algebra, geometry, arithmetic, word problems, and other math (combinations, absolute value, and data interpretation). The latter topics are covered by multi-question quizzes based on past SAT questions. You can get detailed explanatory feedback during or after the quiz, and work with or without a timer. Results are saved for later viewing and comparison.
