Logitech debuted its protection+ case for iPhone 5/5s earlier this year, and the company has now released protection+ for iPhone 6 ($35). The polycarbonate case looks much the same, with a two-toned design and a soft finish, but is now curvier around the edges to fit the newest iPhone.
A metal plate in the case allows protection+ to mount to Logitech’s +trip car mount, or other magnetic mounts. Consider the magnetic functionality a bonus, as the case stands on its own.
Logitech’s protection+ is solid enough to exceed military drop test standards, and the company claims additional polymers in the corners makes the case more shock-absorbent.
The case fits iPhone 6 perfectly, with nice, responsive button coverage. We also like the clean look of protection+ — our case came in Pacific Blue, with back blue panels and a gray interior.
If you’re already using any Logitech magnetic mounts such as +trip, or any other compatible magnetic mounts, the new protection+ case should be a no-brainer purchase for iPhone 6 users.
