Magpul’s Executive Field Case arrived in our offices last summer and earned our high recommendation for its slim, simple, and protective design, all of which came at an amazingly aggressive price. The company — known primarily for its injection molded firearm accessories — has expanded the line with Field Case for iPhone 4/4S ($10).
Field Case shares a very similar design with its predecessor, with a semirigid plastic body that protects the entire back and all of the sides of the iPhone. There are two notable differences between the models.
First, the camera hole on this one is an oval, rather than the teardrop shape on the original, which may help prevent flash diffusion issues. Additionally, Field Case has ridges that run the full length on height of the case, whereas Executive Field Case featured small nubs running in from the edges.
