Though we’ve cut back a lot on iPhone case coverage — particularly in what seems to be a never-ending collection of cheap-looking plastic shells — Ozaki’s iCoat Wardrobe ($30) caught our attention for one reason: it’s the first case in a while to be sold as part of a set, and the first we can recall that’s designed to be replaced on a daily basis with a different color. One version, “for her,” includes pearly silver, gold, purple, pink, and red metallic shells, while the other, “for him,” includes silver, white, red, blue, and yellow ones.
Each comes with a screen protector, a wiping cloth, and an unfortunate “removal tool” designed to extricate your iPhone 3G or 3GS from the shell. Weird? Impractical? Sort of.
But we could see some people being interested, as well, particularly at this price.
