Though it looks pretty generic by the past standards of its DLO division, the Philips Grip Case for iPad ($30) has the core feature many users are looking for in a silicone iPad cover: added grip.
The edges of this case are all thick and rounded, enabling you to hold the iPad firmly either in horizontal or vertical orientation, while providing tapered holes on the top, bottom, and side, plus button coverage on the top and right.
Our black review sample had no screen protection, a fair bit of dust, and no price tag, but it feels sturdy — something that isn’t necessarily true for some of the earlier silicone iPad cases we tested.
