Pong Research claims that its Pong case for the iPhone 3G and 3GS ($60) is “the only case tested by FCC-certified laboratories to reduce cell phone radiation while maintaining full signal strength.” Specifically, the company says that it reduces overall SAR radiation by 60%, and EFI radiation by over 85%, using a metal module to attract radiating energy from the iPhone and direct it away from your hear rather than towards it. We’re not a radiation testing lab, and can’t verify these claims; the case is otherwise a decent if somewhat shabby-edged rubber design with no face protection, holes for the camera, ringer switch, headphone port, speakers, microphone, and Dock Connector, and covers on the top and side buttons.
