First Look: Rokform Roklock v3 for iPad 2/iPad (3rd-Gen)

Rokform’s first iPad case is a funky looking one, but along with the unique design comes extra utility. Roclock v3 ($69) fits both iPad 2 and the third-generation iPad — a conversion kit is included to make up for the thinner body of the former. Rather than the metal we’re used to from Rokform, it’s made of polycarbonate plastic. The case splits apart in the middle with the iPad fitting securely into the halves. Both sides have the appropriate cutouts for ports and buttons. Six hexagonal foam pads provide a nonslip grip. An optional $29 magnet system can be placed on their underside to allow the case to connect to magnetic surfaces. Rokform includes a mounting bracket that magnetically attaches to a depression in the back of the case.
