Companies have surprisingly struggled to find ways to compete with Apple’s $49 official composite and component video cables for iPods, iPhones, and iPads, so Scosche has taken a different direction with SneakPeek II ($60): mix the cables together.
The unholy combination of yellow, blue, red, green, and white RCA connectors at the top is designed to offer you the option of outputting in composite or component video depending on the TV screen you’re using, while offering stereo left and right audio at the same time.
One thing dropped from Apple’s official cables is a wall charger; Scosche includes a mini-USB cable to connect to the Dock Connector plug if you’re able to supply power yourself from a wall charger or computer, neither included here.
