Shipped in two boxes, Soundcast’s iCast Receiver and Transmitter set is designed to provide a 2.4GHz wireless connection between your docked iPod and a home stereo system up to 350 feet away. Soundcast claims that its proprietary wireless technology provides an audio signal that’s not interrupted by microwave ovens, cordless phones, and other wireless devices.

The black Receiver is connected to your stereo, and features simple track backward, forward, and play/pause controls, while the white Transmitter is a full-fledged iPod dock with recharging capability and, if desired, wired audio output. Both units include power supplies and audio cables in both composite and minijack flavors.

You’ll pay $299 for the Receiver and Transmitter set, and $119 for each additional Receiver you purchase separately.
