Late last week, we were amazed to see Speck announcing a limited-run collaboration with beer-maker Guinness on a Speck x Guinness St. Patrick’s Day iPhone 4 Case; this week, there’s another collaboration: the Speck x Burton Fitted Cases for iPhone 4 ($40) and iPad ($60). Though the basic concept of the hard plastic shell/fabric-backed Fitted Case remains the same from Speck’s prior iPhone 4 and iPad Fitted Cases, some new details really caught our attention this time out. Both versions we received use a really interesting colored fabric with purple, clay red, and green dots (“Headache Dot”) to hide Burton iconography at different distances, as well as a rubber Burton logo that sits on top of the fabric as if it’s poking through from the case — nice and really eye-catching touches. Other colors and patterns are available, as well. The iPhone 4 case is now the second Speck product we’ve seen to use a completely redesigned and larger hole for the rear camera, possibly in anticipation of the upcoming white iPhone 4. Neither includes screen protection.
