SwitchEasy’s Rave for iPhone 6 ($25) and iPhone 6 Plus ($30) is a folio case with a cushioned back. Though there’s no wallet functionality, Rave does have full button coverage and port protection, which makes it somewhat interesting. Wrap ($40) is another case that seems like a bit of a mishmash — it’s a faux-leather folio that wraps around the iPhone 6 Plus. The case leaves the top of the phone exposed, and though Wrap lacks volume control coverage, it does cover the sleep/wake button, oddly.
Both cases have kickstand functionality.
Rave is an interesting case — without the folio cover, it would be a solid playthrough-style TPU case, offering both button coverage and port protection at a good price. The kickstand is really the only positive about the faux-leather cover. Though it doesn’t fold symmetrically, it works just fine. We do wish there was more of a front lip for screen protection.
The iPhone 6 Plus version of Rave performed similarly to the iPhone 6 version of the case.
There’s less to say about the thin Wrap, which sort of resembles a checkbook. The case’s folio cover does act as a base for a simple kickstand, but Wrap’s price and general lack of coverage — we wouldn’t want to drop our phone in this case — don’t do it any favors. While we’re not crazy about the look of Rave, it does offer button coverage, port plugs, and a kickstand. The low price doesn’t hurt, either.
