Virtually identical to one another except for their proportions of materials, Temple Bags’ Leather iPad Case ($189) and Re-Purposed Canvas iPad Case ($149) both look like relics from another era — World War II, by design — and use combinations of leather and canvas to hold an iPad inside a flip-closed enclosure. Each one includes an adjustable leather strap with a padded canvas shoulder pad, four straps to hold the single-pocketed lid closed, and a substantially canvas interior with more padding for the iPad.
Brass clasps hold the shoulder strap and the front lid straps on. The outside of the Leather iPad Case is entirely made from leather, while the Re-Purposed Canvas iPad Case is substantially canvas with stripes of leather running horizontally and vertically.
Each case’s sides and bottom alike are mostly open.
