Affordable Ultimate Ears? We almost couldn’t believe it, either, but that’s what the super.fi series offers, depending on your definition of “affordable.” The super.fi 5 EB model ($200) is made for extended bass, and delivers. By comparison with the super.fi 5 Pro (iLounge rating: A-), which we’ve reviewed separately, you’ll take a hit on detail with the EB version, and also find their bigger bodies impossible to hide in your ears, but if you’re looking for thump, they’re superb – noticeably better than the FS1s or iM716s.
