Sold from the United Kingdom, Woodford Design’s new FridgePad (£35/$57) is an oversized refrigerator magnet attached to an iPad-specific frame, designed to attach to flat steel surfaces and securely hold the original iPad in place.
It works with unencased iPads and comes in five colors; the current version does not work with the iPad 2, and won’t until the company releases “replaceable corner clips,” which will be “free” and are “coming soon.” Unclear: the impact of the large magnet on the first iPad’s magnetometer.
We’ll run some tests and provide an answer soon.
