Yantouch’s new Black Diamond 2 ($59, aka BD2) is a sequel to the unusual light-reflecting gem-like plastic iPhone dock we reviewed earlier this year.
Virtually identical from the outside with some new electronics hidden inside near the dock, Black Diamond 2 is now capable of illuminating itself without an iPhone inside, generating red, blue, green, yellow, and orange colors in a slow flow mode.
It can also now enhance a docked iPhone’s sound by 2.5 times using a passive amplifier, improving upon the prior version’s speakerphone performance as a consequence.
