Zenus’s Masstige and Prestige families have been around for a bit now — the former includes faux leather products, and the latter is real leather. Now those lines have been updated to include a handful of new cases for the third-generation iPad: Masstige Leather Lettering Diary Series ($80) is the coolest looking of the bunch, with script-lettered words engraved on the outside of the covers. The iPad holder is a less exciting molded shell, but opposite it on the inside of the front cover are a pair of fold-out stands and an elastic hand strap.
A magnetic snap holds the case shut, while additional magnets in the lid lock and unlock the iPad. Masstige Leather Color Point Folio Series ($80) and Masstige Leather E-Note Diary Series ($70) share that same structure, but the exterior design is different for both: Color Point is a solid color with a cross-pattern near the bottom right corner, and E-Note Diary has a two-toned design. Prestige Genuine Leather Prima Croco Folder Series ($200) is the only real leather case of the group, apparently made of real cowhide with a crocodile texture.
Instead of a snap, this one has a non-functioning buckle with magnets holding the lid shut. Inside, the hand strap has been removed.
