Apple AirPods with Noise Cancellation: Sounds exciting!

Apple has always been good at making good sounding earphones. The Earpods released in 2012 alongside the iPhone 5, introduced a new design in the world of earphones. Following the same design language of the Earpods, Apple released the AirPods in 2016 alongside the iPhone 7, the first iPhone to ship without the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The AirPods have become sort of the “de facto” wireless earphones. It may not be the most affordable, the best sounding pair of earphones but the simplicity it provides, is more than enough for a lot of people to invest in them. The AirPods sell for $159 which includes the charging case and $199 for the AirPods with wireless charging case.

Apple AirPods with Noise Cancellation: Sounds exciting!

Apple for long has been rumoured to be working on a pair of noise cancelling earphones. The early leaks of Apple made noise cancelling wireless earphones show a AirPods with a pair of buds on top. Well, of course the leaks always horrible, we will have to wait and see how they turn out to be.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is slowly turning into a “normalised” feature with more and more earphones/headphones starting to offer the feature. Microsoft and Google have both unveiled their truly wireless earbuds but none of them include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Any competition?

Apple AirPods with Noise Cancellation: Sounds exciting!

The $199  AU-Sound’s AU-Flex ANC are a good pair of earphones with noise cancellation features which work very well with the iPhone (or any Android phone for that matter). The earphones are good but they could be deemed a little too expensive for the average consumer. But you get active noise cancellation which is barely found on a cheap pair of earphones; its turning popular but can only be found on the premium products.

How much would Apple’s version of ANC wireless earbuds cost? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
