Apex Legends on iOS and Android May Be In The Works

Apex Legends Mobile

Apex Legends, a battle-royale type of game that’s exclusive for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 may now be headed for the mobile environment, particularly the iOS and Android platforms.

This move makes total sense, considering that the two largest competitors, PUBG and Fortnite are already on mobiles. EA hinted at targeting new markets during the quarterly earnings call, which makes the port to iOS and Android very plausible. Moreover, the game may finally be coming to South Korea and China, with both having huge gamer fanbases in their own right.

Apex Legends Mobile

Apex Legends is currently enjoying more than 50 million global users on the Windows, PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Unlike Fortnite’s transition from console to mobile, Apex Legends may be more involved due to EA’s decision to use Valve’s game engine right from the start.

Apex Legends came to the world of gaming without any marketing or prior announcement. Still, the free-to-play, battle royale title was able to capture a significant percentage of the market.
