When Tim Cook tweets something, people listen. The Apple CEO encouraged followers to try the new Statue of Liberty app, developed by Yap Studio and Statue of Liberty Foundation put into concept by Diane von Furstenberg.
The whole transition from physical to digital took more than a year of photographing and scanning the iconic structure, including time-lapses from the eye view, from the inside and how the statue’s color changes over time.

iOS users who’ll download the app will be in for a special treat. It has several Statue of Liberty models that you can use as an image anywhere you want, notably in full-size, close-ups of the foot and torch, among others.
The Statue of Liberty app was originally designed as a digital companion on Statue of Liberty tours and for people who wanted to understand the detail and construction of such a monumental wonder.
