Apple’s newest marketing campaign is its “incredible iPhone 6s” by advertising it with “Made in India”. No, you’re not reading it wrong- it’s really the 6s that came out back in 2015.
The tech giant has recently made a marketing move in India, where iPhone sales haven’t really taken off. To combat this, Apple started with the iPhone 6s and attaches a price tag of INR 26,910, or roughly $382.

The 6s is one of Apple’s devices that’s made in India, for promotional purposes and to curb import taxes. Wistron is the organization that handles manufacture and production, the same one that made the iPhone SE model in 2017.
The iPhone 6s has a clear Retina HD screen, an A9 processor and a 12MP rear camera that can record 4K videos. Incidentally, it’s the last model to have had the 3.5mm headphone jack, which was removed in the iPhone 7.
Apple’s campaign appears to be a way to compete with budget phones, but it may not be enough as there are newer devices that offer higher specs at a lower price.
