ABC News reported today that the Apple Watch has saved another life. A 74-year old man from Florida was alerted to an atrial fibrillation event when he went up a flight of stairs.

Roy Robinson went to Baltimore to visit his family. He went and visited his granddaughter to her classroom in the third floor. When they reached it, Roy was unusually out of breath.

Dale, Roy’s wife knew something was wrong. The Florida man was alerted by his Apple Watch as well and said it detected a potential AFib. Robinson was prompted to visit the nearest hospital and head to the emergency room.

At the hospital, Roy was tested on an EKG and admitted. He said that before the event he had no idea what an atrial fibrillation was. Ultimately, Roy was saved by a feature he didn’t know and even received a shout-out from Tim Cook himself.
