After much hype and anticipation, Apple has finally launched watchOS and made it available to Apple Watch users. To get yours, head on over to the Apple Watch app in your iPhone through the General, then Software Update settings.
For a successful installation, make sure your Apple Watch has at least 50% of battery and that it’s in close proximity of your iPhone. Right now, the new operating system is limited to the Series 4 and Series 3 models, but Apple says that it will roll out to the Series 2 and Series 1 models later.
The new OS for Apple Watch offers several new features, including a dedicated App Store, new APIs and the ability to remove built-in apps, among others. New watch faces are also available, including Modular Compact, Solar Dial, California and Numerals Duo and Mono with large numbers.
The complete list of watchOS 6 additions can be seen at the official Apple website.
