The next-generation M series chips are expected to debut on these five products.
The M5 chip will arrive with the following products, namely the iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, Vision Pro, and the iPad Pro. The process to produce the chips will be through the 3rd-generation 3nm process by Apple supplier TSMC, with notable improvements in terms of power efficiency and performance compared to the M4 chips. It’s worth noting that the M4 chips were manufactured via a 2nd-generation 3nm process.

Small upgrades are expected for the iPad Pro, and thinner bezels may eventually arrive. The 16-inch and 14-inch MacBook Pro will have the M5 Max, M5 Pro, and M5 chips this year. As for the Mac mini, it will have both the M5 and M5 Pro chip as its variants. The iMac is expected to debut with the M5 chip as well, although it may not appear this year.
